The city of Portland exists on grounds originally pertaining to the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes.

This land has been systemically stolen through genocide, relocation, and assimilation of minoritized communities.

This system of oppression has also extended to the treatment of immigrant populations, notably Chinese and other Asian Americans, as well as enslaved Black Americans. These discriminations have lasting generational trauma and still exist in forms today.

We who work and live in these areas owe our livelihoods to those who have come before us, and and indebted to repaying the acts of violence against these communities.

All groups operated by a majority minoritzed management or who are Non-profit entities serving these communities shall be extended a discount in their invoices.
